Overview

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for fulfilling the mechanical needs of equipment and the physical structure within the Maintenance Department. This role includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting of facility equipment, and performing various maintenance tasks while ensuring compliance with company and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems and make repairs on equipment to minimize machine downtime.
  • Schedule and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
  • Install and assist with installation of factory equipment.
  • Operate all shop equipment including power equipment.
  • Perform some sheet metal work.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, and HVAC programming duties.
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
  • Maintain and secure work tools.
  • Clean and maintain all work areas.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform additional duties/projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school education required; college degree with an emphasis on engineering preferred.
  • Licensed in electrical preferred; proficiency required.
  • Proficient in machine repair.
  • Proficient in use of welding equipment.
  • Knowledge of printing specific equipment.
  • Skilled in plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and piping skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards regarding potential job hazards.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in uncomfortable positions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to comprehend job procedures and safety protocols.
