Overview

The Maintenance Shop Technician A position involves performing repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks under the supervision of a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities

  • Maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems.
  • Perform chassis component repair and maintenance.
  • Repair refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair air and hydraulic braking systems.
  • Conduct engine repair and diagnostics.
  • Understand diesel fuel systems and perform diagnostics.
  • Repair suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
  • Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Understand Aftertreatment systems, REGEN, and diagnostics.
  • Diagnose electrical concerns using scan tools.
  • Perform line maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
  • Identify sources of malfunctions using electronic tools.
  • Complete applicable Company training programs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs on various heavy truck or automotive systems.
  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
  • LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
  • Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License is a plus but not required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
