Overview

SRP is one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S., providing electricity to approximately one million customers in the greater metropolitan Phoenix area. They are recruiting entry-level engineers for a rotational engineering program that offers exposure to various departments over a two-year period.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about SRP businesses, projects, priorities, and strategy.
  • Provide engineering services to SRP in a technically sound, safe, timely and cost effective manner.
  • Perform engineering design work and engineering studies.
  • Act as engineering project leader.
  • Prepare specifications and evaluate bids.
  • Prepare recommendation material for management consideration.
  • Administer and review work performed by consultants and others.
  • Prepare and/or conduct written and oral reports and presentations.
  • Perform field engineering work.
  • Conduct engineering analyses.
  • Design and/or code computer programs.

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Management will review and evaluate relevant experience as part of the placement process.
  • Ability to work effectively with various organizational groups within SRP.
  • Ability to use engineering tools required for the job.
