Overview

ECS Limited is seeking a Specialty Technician to join their Phoenix team, offering a dynamic work environment with opportunities for career advancement. The role involves performing field observations and inspections on various construction materials, including steel testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform observations, testing, inspections, and sampling of construction materials.
  • Execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians and project managers.
  • Conduct routine observations and testing of structural and reinforcing steel.
  • Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling and test results.
  • Maintain organization of field equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Communicate daily with site contractors and project managers about site conditions.
  • Attend project meetings as requested.
  • Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations and testing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to obtain 2 relevant specialty certifications from industry authorities.
  • Ability to carry 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day and occasionally lift 85 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Suitable transportation for job sites with mileage reimbursement.
  • Strong communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Working knowledge of destructive and non-destructive testing principles.
  • Good understanding of heavy construction safety practices.
  • Ability to perform work at heights.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to calibrate NDE equipment if focused on NDE testing.
