Overview

Austin Autobody, a division of H&K Group, Inc., located in Skippack, PA, is seeking 1st Shift Body Shop Technicians to focus on collision repair of damaged automotive vehicles. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies.
  • Examine damaged vehicles and estimate cost of repairs.
  • Remove upholstery, accessories, and trim to access vehicle body and fenders.
  • Use dolly block to remove dents from surfaces.
  • Fill depressions with body filler.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and install replacement parts.
  • Straighten bent automobile frames with pneumatic frame straightening machine.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces.
  • Refinish repaired surfaces.
  • Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake systems.
  • Paint surfaces after performing body repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective mechanical parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school or three months of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements related to the job.
