Overview

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a critical TechOps role at Delta, responsible for maintaining the proper and safe functioning of Delta’s fleet to ensure customers have an exceptional travel experience. AMTs perform inspections, document maintenance procedures, and practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures.
  • Inspect aircraft or aircraft components for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear.
  • Recommend replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on inspection.
  • Report issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel.
  • Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components following technical documentation.
  • Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components using hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Inspect completed work to certify adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Interpret discrepancies or logs to troubleshoot issues and identify next steps.
  • Research and interpret technical manuals and guidelines for inspections and repairs.
  • Review maintenance records to ensure service and maintenance checks were performed.
  • Maintain repair logs documenting all preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Serve as a technical expert or mentor by providing advice and recommendations.
  • Use technology to document and communicate information.

Requirements

  • Must have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant license.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security.
