Overview

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) at their rental facility in Atlanta, GA. The company aims to transform the construction industry by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology and real-time support.

Responsibilities

  • Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders.
  • Track machine service intervals and order parts.
  • Diagnose issues using data from various makes and models.
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment.
  • Comfortably use technology such as laptops and tablets.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements.
  • Participate in year-round company provided OEM training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and employment is contingent on passing a drug screen.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Overtime pay after working 40 hours.
  • Role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation.
