Overview

The Fleet Mechanic 2 is responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's fleet equipment, including diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, and forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Perform emergency roadside services as needed.
  • Research and order parts, accurately record usage, and manage stock inventory.
  • Complete electronic work orders and ensure all information is recorded in the computerized maintenance system.
  • Assist team members with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment following Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • Class A CDL preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • High school diploma or GED; or three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on light duty, heavy duty, and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and equipment as required.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Ability to work in a positive and productive team environment.
