Responsibilities

• Operates specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products while meeting specifications and quality standards.
• Calculates and derives dimensional information from drawings.
• Reads, understands, communicates, and interprets written and verbal instructions.
• Completes required paperwork accurately to ensure record accuracy.
• Performs SPC/quality checks using measurement tools.
• Follows Standard Work Instructions at each process.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment according to safety guidelines.
• Participates in improvement activities.
• Performs a minimum of 75% of the jobs in the department at the required rate.
• Reads and understands routings/drawings to produce parts to quality expectations.
• Rotates through department workstations based on business need.
• Sets up, loads, and operates manufacturing equipment.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Demonstrates flexibility to work varied hours as business needs require.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience.
• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of accessing and using information system computer databases.
• Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
• Preferred advanced math skills related to operating advanced systems or processes.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a changing environment.
