Overview

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Part-Time PAUT Level II Technician to join their Asset Integrity Management team in Houston, TX. The role involves inspecting materials and systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing and requires prior Level II certification and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect assigned materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing.
  • Use advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel.
  • Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array.
  • Prior Level II certification.
  • API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required.
  • Valid Drivers' License and reliable driving record.
  • Current TWIC card.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
  • Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (MT, PT, UTT, VT) preferred.

Additional Information

  • This is a part-time, casual, project-based position.
  • Must be willing to travel.
