Overview

The Senior Pressure Relief Valve Technician is responsible for performing complete overhauls and testing of various manufacturers' pressure relief valves, including troubleshooting and testing in both shop and field environments. The role requires adherence to safety standards and direct communication with customers, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete over-haul and testing of pressure relief valves.
  • Execute troubleshooting and testing in shop and field environments.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards.
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding valve repairs.
  • Work autonomously in the valve repair process.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system and National Board Inspection Code criteria.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience required.
  • Pressure Relief Valve Manufacturers Training Courses and/or certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of Trevitest, EVT, AVK, or other in-line test equipment preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of ASME and NBIC codes.
