Overview

TTL is an engineering design firm founded in 1964, focused on delivering integrated infrastructure solutions for public and private clients. They are seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join their team in Nashville, TN, responsible for ensuring quality through various inspection methods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections (VT) of structural welds to ensure conformity to applicable standards.
  • Conduct nondestructive testing using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) methods.
  • Conduct coating inspections and testing to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
  • Inspect structural steel and bolted connections according to applicable codes.
  • Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations and documentation, and maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, and contractors.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports and communicate findings to clients in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading drawings, plans, and/or blueprints.
  • Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skills and related technology.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts and work at heights.
  • Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environments.
  • Current AWS CWI Certification preferred.
  • Structural Steel experience required.
  • ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Certification.
  • Experience with observing Structural Steel bolting and welded connections.
  • Understanding of Special Inspections and tracking discrepancies.
  • Ability to explain and interpret code and/or quality control requirements.
