Overview

The security and detection business creates solutions used in non-laboratory environments such as airports and military settings. We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to support our security and detection customers through on-site activities including installation, maintenance, and repair of systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising on preventive maintenance and configurations
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment or software issues
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions including peripherals and software
  • Serve as an internal resource on technical issues and manage product escalations
  • Collaborate with Agilent teams to provide solutions to customers
  • May deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars
  • May calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in physical science or engineering or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in a similar role or customer-facing field position
  • Must be able to obtain and hold security clearance
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% overnight
  • Spectroscopy experience highly desirable
  • Strong drive to learn and expand skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and processes
