Overview

The Welder position involves performing various duties to support machine and repair functions, coordinating work within and across departments, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and pass a welding procedures test.

Responsibilities

  • Use MIG, stick electrode, and brazing welding processes.
  • Layout, position, align, and fit components together.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Read blueprints or follow verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to the specific area or requests from customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass welding procedures test.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in related positions.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficient mechanical skills.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Internet.
  • Visual and auditory skills.

  • Night Shift 6:30 PM - 5:00 AM (Mon-Thur.)
