Overview

The Field Service Technician role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various makes of lift trucks, including Crown. The technician will also perform planned maintenance, maintain a service van, and process job paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
  • Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
  • Maintain a service van and its inventory.
  • Process paperwork after completion of each job.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to safely operate lift trucks.
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Good written and verbal communication and customer care skills.
  • Technical degree and previous lift truck repair experience preferred.
  • Welding experience and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, and arc welder.
  • Ability to read and understand service manuals.
