The Maintenance Mechanic at Perrigo NY is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting the mechanical aspects of manufacturing and packaging equipment and facilities in compliance with standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily Maintenance Tracker to inform Master Mechanic and/or supervisor.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to all packaging, compounding and warehouse equipment.
  • Conduct repairs on packaging and compounding equipment as required.
  • Train production personnel in the proper use of equipment.
  • Perform equipment set-up, fine-tune and troubleshoot equipment utilizing ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS methods.

Requirements

  • Five years of hands-on mechanical experience with packaging equipment from a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Successful completion of a certification program in mechanical engineering/mechanical design/troubleshooting.
  • Alternatively, three years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus two years of completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering program.

Additional Information

  • This is a Union position.
  • The starting rate will be $29.00/hr.
  • Must be able to work rotational schedules and overtime as required.
