Job Description

Overview

My client is a leading aerospace manufacturing company who is growing and looking to add a Maintenance Mechanic to their team. This role involves maintenance and repair of machinery, as well as preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery to access components for repair.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts, including bearings, belts, gears, and seals.
  • Perform adjustments and alignments on machinery to ensure proper functionality.
  • Repair and maintain pneumatic and electrical systems as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and other building components.
  • Perform minor repairs including fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs, and repairing minor electrical issues.
  • Respond to maintenance work orders and complete repairs promptly.
  • Follow established preventative maintenance schedules to proactively address potential issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery for wear and tear, potential hazards, and lubrication levels.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports.
  • Identify and diagnose mechanical issues by analyzing symptoms, sounds, and operational data.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to isolate problems and determine necessary repairs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on machinery.
  • Report any safety concerns or hazards immediately.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a manufacturing mechanic or related role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
