Overview

The Deburrer position in the Aerospace Industry involves precision finishing and preparation of aerospace components to meet engineering and quality standards. AMETEK, Inc. is a global provider of industrial technology solutions with a commitment to quality and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deburring, edge breaking, blending, polishing, and surface finishing operations on aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, machining marks, and defects using various tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine required finishing operations.
  • Inspect parts during and after processing for compliance with quality requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments for inspection.
  • Maintain traceability and accurate completion of production documentation.
  • Handle aerospace components carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Assist with other manufacturing or production activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of deburring, finishing, polishing, machining, or aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with aerospace, defense, medical, or precision-machined components preferred.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace manufacturing practices is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work with precision hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to identify surface defects and cosmetic imperfections.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and be authorized to access export-controlled information.
