Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Installation Mechanic to lead new equipment setups, retrofits, and system replacements across NYC. This role focuses on high-quality mechanical assembly, structural integration, and system commissioning while ensuring compliance with NY OSHA requirements and NYC building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Install, position, and secure commercial and high-end residential HVAC systems.
  • Run and fit fuel, refrigeration, and water supply lines.
  • Lay out, connect, and safely test low-voltage control wiring and primary power connections.
  • Inspect, test, and balance newly installed equipment to verify airflow efficiency.
  • Execute all on-site work according to standard NYC building codes and OSHA safety protocols.
  • Supervise and direct Junior Mechanics and Helpers on major installation sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of documented experience in HVAC installation or mechanical system replacement.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification is strictly required.
  • An OSHA 40 card is required.
  • Proven ability to read and execute instructions from mechanical blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Ability to navigate NYC worksites, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50–70 lbs regularly.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
