Overview

The Cable Assembly Operator at Amphenol Borisch Technologies is responsible for efficiently completing wire and cable assemblies while coaching and training new assemblers. The company is a leader in providing high-reliability electronic systems for Aerospace and Defense industries.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train new, less experienced assemblers.
• Read wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics for cable assembly.
• Assemble wires into cables and harness systems per schematic drawings.
• Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harness.
• Assemble electrical components, systems and/or subsystems.
• Use automatic and hand held wire strippers for wire ends.
• Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality.
• Solder parts or connections between parts.
• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience cable and wire assemblies.
• Must be able to regularly sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to pass a Vision exam to inspect work at a close distance.
• Must be able to read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics.
• Must be able to accurately use measuring tools and do basic math.
• Must be able to effectively use all tools required for wire harness assembly.
• Must have keen attention to detail and quality.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and reach.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
