Overview

O'Neal Steel is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician for their Grand Prairie, TX facility. The role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems, along with evaluating and recommending equipment improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and yield.
• Conduct equipment failure analyses and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Prepare technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues.

Requirements

• General knowledge of basic troubleshooting skills for advanced processing equipment.
• Maintenance experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Completion of an electrical or mechanical repair training program or a combination of training and experience.
• Ability to perform maintenance and repair tasks on material handling and processing equipment.
• Ability to calculate, lay-out, and draw; balance and align equipment.
• Perform rigging activities and other miscellaneous maintenance functions.
• Ability to utilize or fabricate parts from various materials.
• Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes.
• Programming of Variable Frequency Drives.
• Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
