Overview

MSI Express is a single-source contract manufacturing and packaging company that provides innovative engineering solutions. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
  • Utilize an electronic CMMS system to document work performed.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment including motors, pneumatics, and PLCs.
  • Work with electricity systems related to production and plant support equipment.
  • Use blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Teardown and rebuild gearboxes, clutches, and other assemblies.
  • Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts.
  • Proficiently use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Fabricate parts and modifications for equipment repairs.
  • Weld different grades of metal using various welding techniques.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC systems as needed.
  • Follow all company policies including safety practices.
  • Report Food Safety and Quality problems in a timely manner.
  • Train junior technicians on equipment and procedures.
  • Train operators in best practices and equipment operation.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance as requested.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
