Overview

Blooming Glen Contractors Water & Wastewater, a partner of the H&K Group, Inc., is seeking an experienced Electrician to install and repair electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and equipment throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
• Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, electronic components, and lighting fixtures.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunctions with other maintenance workers.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors.
• Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus.
• Drive between locations to complete responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school in a relevant electrical field.
• 2 years related electrical experience and/or training.
• Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of database software, internet software, and order processing systems.
• Technical electrical skills and learning agility.
• Problem solving and teamwork skills.
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed.
• Ability to meet physical requirements related to the job.
