Overview

The NDT Level II Technician is responsible for performing Magnetic Particle (MT) or Liquid Penetrant (PT) inspections with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with quality specifications and safety guidelines. This role requires certification and the ability to identify non-conforming products.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adhere to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Correctly interpret work orders.
  • Perform NDT Level 2 tasks as defined in NAS410- 5.1.4 (FPI & MPI).
  • Work in a team environment, following instructions and assisting others as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • The ability to read and write English.
  • The ability to perform basic shop math including fractions and decimals.
  • The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
  • The ability to navigate the intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.
  • The ability to acquire Level 1 NDT certification (FPI & MPI).
  • Level 1 NDT Certification Required.
  • Typically 2-3 years of recent and relevant work experience.
  • High School diploma or GED is expected.
