Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and execute the complete CAM programming and CNC machining workflow for jewelry components.
  • Author programs, operate machines, and ensure quality outcomes at every stage.
  • Interpret CAD files and 2D drawings to develop optimized toolpath strategies.
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM platforms.
  • Operate four simultaneous 5-axis CNC milling centers and one CNC lathe.
  • Apply advanced micro machining techniques and high-speed machining strategies.
  • Perform routine part inspection using precision measurement instruments.
  • Conduct regular machine maintenance, calibration, and tooling changes.
  • Manage individual project queues and communicate risks early.
  • Interface with Design and Manufacturing teams on product functionality.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in a precision CNC machining environment.
  • Experience in the jewelry, watchmaking, aerospace, automotive, or medical device industries.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam or a comparable professional CAM platform.
  • Demonstrated expertise in micro machining and high-speed machining strategies.
  • Strong CAD skills, with SolidWorks strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and dimensional precision.
  • Proven track record of independent ownership of the CAM-to-part workflow.
  • Capacity for critical, proactive thinking regarding manufacturing challenges.
