Overview

Generac's Dealer Talent Network is seeking a Generator Technician to join their team, focusing on clean energy and energy management. This role involves working with Generac's Authorized Channel Partner to install and maintain home generators, contributing to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on generators
  • Diagnostics and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems on generators
  • Service and repair generators, including changing air filters, oil, checking battery levels, and spark plugs
  • Assist in the installation hook-up of home standby generators
  • Provide after-hour emergency troubleshooting and repairs when necessary
  • Work independently or with a small crew

Requirements

  • 2+ years working on generators in residential or commercial settings
  • Air/liquid cooled certificate preferred (Generac, Kohler, Briggs and Stratton, Cummins, etc.)
  • Experience with small engine repairs
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Valid driver's license
