Overview

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking Industrial Services General Laborers/Hydro Blasters in East Chicago, IN, to join their safety-conscious team. This role involves setting up and assisting with water treatment systems, pipeline hydrostatic testing, and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate manual and automated hydro-blasting equipment as required.
  • Use special equipment like ultra-high-pressure pumps.
  • Energize pumping equipment and operate hydro-blasting and chemical cleaning equipment.
  • Examine cleaned surfaces to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
  • Interface with customer representatives regarding job setup and scope if in a supervisory role.

Requirements

  • Specific vocational preparation including safety training and on-the-job training.
  • Proficiency in English to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with company driving policy.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
  • TWIC card required or must be able to obtain.
  • Availability to travel to work at other sites 10% of the time.
