Overview

A Laborer position is available at Garney, an entry-level opportunity for a dependable person to assist in daily tasks and learn essential skills for a career in the construction industry. Responsibilities

  • Assist the crew with the completion of daily tasks using various techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and electrical tools such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers.
  • Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Join, wrap, seal, and bed sections of underground pipe and pipe penetrations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work on their feet for an entire day.
  • Must be willing to complete OSHA 10 (provided by Garney).
  • Must be willing to complete 'Fall Protection Certification' (provided by Garney).
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing to travel for work.
