Overview

Our client is a leading industrial construction company seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a travel-based opportunity supporting heavy industrial projects with a strong focus on quality assurance, welding inspections, and code compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CWIs looking to work on challenging projects across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of piping, structural steel, welds, pressure vessels, and coatings to ensure adherence to project standards and codes.
  • Review welding procedures, qualifications, and related documentation for compliance.
  • Coordinate and oversee nondestructive testing activities such as ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation.
  • Evaluate subcontractor capabilities and ensure quality standards are met throughout project execution.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience in industrial construction environments.
  • Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
  • Knowledge of industry codes such as ASME, AWS, API, and others.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a field setting, with physical ability to lift materials, navigate active sites, and work shifts up to 12 hours.
