Job Description

Overview

Syer Metals Works is looking for an experienced Welder to join their team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in TIG and MIG welding and the ability to work with various metals.

Requirements

  • Experienced in TIG and MIG welding
  • Able to weld different types of materials, including Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel, and Carbon Steel
  • Must be able to read and understand fabrication shop drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
  • Must be able to speak and understand English
  • Bilingual is a plus

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
