Overview

MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians provide high levels of mechanical service to meet customer needs, focusing on conveyor belt installation, repair, and maintenance to keep industries in motion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance.
  • Fabricate lightweight and/or heavyweight belts in the shop.
  • Perform rigging to facilitate the lifting of belt rolls, presses, and tooling.
  • Conduct basic millwright tasks such as torch heating, cutting, and installation of conveyor components.
  • Serve as the customer contact for technical and service-related issues.
  • Work under direct supervision on moderately complex repairs and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national regulatory agencies and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on system equipment.
  • Communicate technical information to stakeholders and meet customers as required.
  • Perform on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and document findings.
  • Recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a technical degree and 0 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Ability to read measuring equipment and perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to drive company vehicles in alignment with company policy.
