Keystone Industries is dedicated to fostering a supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and career development. The Maintenance Mechanic position involves systematic inspections, repairs, and maintenance of chemical processing equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduled cleaning duties and preventative maintenance on building and chemical processing and production equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance including inspections, lubrications, replacements, and periodic small equipment reconditioning.
  • Keep industrial equipment in good working order.
  • Perform basic/minor repair maintenance on pumps, valves, fluid changes, belt adjustments and replacements, and seal replacements.
  • Learn how to repair small and large scale chemical processing production equipment.
  • Learn shop fabrication of various materials.
  • Salt and shovel sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and steps in cold weather.
  • Become familiar with production jobs and learn the basic operation and flow of product through the processing system.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested by management.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician maintaining chemical or food processing equipment.
  • Willingness and ability to be forklift certified and trained on scissor lift.
  • Ability to work at various heights and in confined areas.
  • Mechanically inclined with basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Participate in on-the-job training.
  • Capable of working in hot, cold, or dusty areas.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, etc. for long periods.
  • Ability to work longer hours and on weekends as needed.
