Overview

Spark Car Wash is a high growth, institutionally backed express exterior car wash company serving the Northeast and headquartered in Summit, NJ. The Field Technician plays an integral role in ensuring that Spark Car Wash maintains best-in-class facilities by executing a comprehensive maintenance and repair program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure General Managers and teams complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists accurately and consistently.
• Maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and water system issues.
• Uphold a clean, safe work environment by enforcing Spark's safety policies and procedures.
• Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and key equipment components.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to procure equipment, schedule service, and manage relationships.
• Assist with equipment delivery and setup during new store openings or remodels.
• Document and report on all equipment downtime, repair activity, and facility-related concerns.
• Work with the Operations team members on additionally assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
• Preventative maintenance experience across multiple system types.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Expected to be accessible by phone during operating hours and on call as scheduled.
• Availability to respond to time-sensitive repair needs including nights and weekends.
• Willingness to travel throughout NJ, NY, and PA with overnight travel 25% of the time.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to meet the company's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions both indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Additional Information

• Field based, serving the growing store base in Northern New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
• Candidates must travel to stores 100% of the time and be on-site at locations daily.
