Overview

SQA Services is a leader in managed supplier quality services, providing audits, assessments, inspections, and engineering to manufacturers globally. They are seeking a detail-oriented Electromechanical Inspector with welding experience to ensure the quality and compliance of electromechanical components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection from external providers of products or services.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspection of critical features.
  • Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and report packages.
  • Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects.
  • Ensure inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
  • Audit and validate execution to the inspection plan.
  • Provide weekly reports on manufacturing site progress and equipment quality performance.
  • Conduct periodic quality audits of the supplier’s factory and report results.
  • Drive closure of findings identified as non-conformance.
  • Ensure supplier’s quality control system documents findings.
  • Provide customer witness for test scripts, including Factory Acceptance Testing.
  • Inspect rivets and mechanical assemblies.
  • Read diagrams for wiring assembly.

Requirements

  • Experience with inspecting electromechanical components, preferably cooling systems.
  • Welding experience and inspection techniques of weld integrity.
  • 5 years of professional experience OR 3 years with ASME or CWI certification.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident due to ITAR regulations.

Additional Information

  • This position will be on-site 5 days a week for 4-8 hours a day.
  • This is a 3-6 month contract.
