Overview

The Electro Mechanical Technician performs expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance on devices, identifies and sources parts, and leads continuous improvement activities. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance.
  • Observes devices in operation to locate root cause of problems.
  • Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts.
  • Examines parts to detect imperfections and adjusts functional parts.
  • Repairs and/or replaces defective parts and tests devices for performance.
  • Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
  • Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and reliability.
  • Works with Planner Scheduler to optimize preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Sets up and operates multiple machining operations including lathe and drill press.
  • Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Leads and participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems.
  • Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
  • Updates records and reviews CMMS history and analyzes data.
  • Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs.
  • Follows all safety-related policies, rules, and regulations.
