Overview

The Pipe Welder position is based in Anchorage at the Worley Fabrication Facility, where the individual will perform welding of pipe, flanges, and various fittings for fabrication or repair of machine parts and plant equipment. This role requires adherence to safety policies and procedures while working in a potentially hazardous environment.

Responsibilities

  • Constructs, maintains, and modifies piping systems and process equipment by welding pipe, flanges, and various fittings.
  • Measures pipe routing and drafts pipe configuration.
  • Performs repair, prep, grinding, and re-weld procedures on pipe.
  • Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs cleanup activities.

Requirements

  • Three to five (3-5) years’ experience pipe welding in a petrochemical industrial environment.
  • Required to pass FCAW, GTAW, and SMAW pipe weld tests upon offer.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Knowledge of the AWS, ANSI, and ASME codes.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering prints.

What you'll be running
