Overview

The Structural Welder/Fitter position at Worley Fabrication Facility in Anchorage involves welding metal components for fabrication or repair according to blueprints and work orders. The role requires a strong understanding of welding processes and safety protocols, with a focus on creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding of metal components for fabrication or repair.
  • Follow layout, blueprints, or work orders using various welding equipment.
  • Prep steel shapes as needed.
  • Read and understand engineering prints.
  • Work with minimal supervision and perform tasks with limited guidance.

Requirements

  • Two years' experience in structural welding or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must pass structural weld test upon offer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Basic knowledge of AWS, ANSI, and ASME codes.
  • Experience using oxy/acetylene torch.
  • Knowledge of carbon steel and other alloy metals.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders of various heights.
