Overview

Veolia Group is a global leader in environmental services, specializing in water, energy, and waste management. The Welder position involves laying out, fitting, and fabricating metal components for structural weld forms, utilizing welding techniques and knowledge of metallurgy.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural weld forms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Perform precision welding in various positions.
  • Configure welding machines by selecting correct polarity and adjusting settings.
  • Assist with other departments as needed.
  • Coordinate activities with other job classifications.
  • Follow safe work practices and all environmental, health and safety policies.
  • Read and understand shop orders and bill of materials.
  • Understand how the tools and materials replenishment system operates.

Requirements

  • Experience with TIG welding and ability to complete successful welds on the 6G position interview day.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Able to demonstrate a successful TIG weld.
  • Ability to TIG weld stainless.
  • Basic mathematics skills.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for welding.
  • The majority of the day will be spent standing with some bending and fine motor work.
  • Ability to operate metal fabrication power and hand tools is required.
