Overview

JLG, an Oshkosh Company, is dedicated to providing innovative solutions to the access market, focusing on safety in the construction industry since 1969. The Offline Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment prior to shipment, acting as a problem solver with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform the test and inspection process for all facility specific Access equipment.
• Proficiently troubleshoot and resolve electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, and utilize specialty tools as required.
• Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin and implement corrective actions.
• Validate machine configuration aligned to sales order and complete EQC process.
• Effectively work across all work stations and assist in training new team members.
• Use and train on all electronic devices including EQC, MDS, JED, AS400.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures.
• Assist on issue resolution and partner with various Access functions as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience.
• Ability to drive, test, and conduct offline inspection on all machines in assigned facility.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

• Considerable irregularity of hours due to frequent overtime, weekend or shift rotation.
• Frequent physical demands including standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
• Occasional stress due to deadlines or workload.
