Overview

Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. The Fixed Maintenance position involves ensuring safety, performing physical tasks, maintaining equipment, and operating vehicles to support plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety by prioritizing safety throughout the operation.
  • Perform various physical tasks including using hand tools, cleaning, and shoveling materials.
  • Assist in servicing, repairing, and adjusting various pieces of equipment.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment.
  • Operate heavy construction equipment to assist with plant operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on demands.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with industrial tools and their maintenance.
