Overview

Join Worldwide Flight Services as an OXF Mechanic at JFK-T5, where you will contribute to the timely delivery of cargo and ensure the safe operation of baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain superior customer service and safe working practices at all times.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment such as motors and baggage handling systems.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty systems.
  • Analyze root causes of electrical failures and propose remedies and resolutions.
  • Interpret schematics and engineering drawings related to system operation.
  • React to call outs from the Control Room Operator or manager for service calls.
  • Perform preventive maintenance including inspection, adjustment, cleaning, and replacement.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Background check and drug screen required.
  • Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge.
  • Experience in an industrial environment or minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance mechanic.
  • Proven experience as a Welder with relevant work experience.
