Overview

IFS Industries is seeking a motivated and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician for their Garland facility. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs to minimize downtime and support efficient production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric and pneumatic pumps.
  • Repair and rebuild diaphragm pumps ranging from ¾" to 3" in size.
  • Replace mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps.
  • Repair and rebuild gear pumps.
  • Perform pump shaft alignment.
  • Conduct minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Complete general facility upkeep and routine maintenance repairs.
  • Perform welding and metal fabrication work as needed.
  • Complete projects and work orders with minimal supervision.
  • Create, update, and close work orders using a web-based maintenance management system.
  • Respond to maintenance issues during scheduled on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley drives and PLC troubleshooting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.

Additional Information

  • 2nd Shift Schedule - 1:45 P.M. - 10:15 P.M.
  • Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • May be exposed to varying temperatures and outdoor conditions while performing facility maintenance.
