Overview

At Universal Pure, we’re dedicated to giving people everywhere safe, fresh, and delicious food to eat and drink. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on various equipment to ensure optimal operation within the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain high pressure processing equipment and value-added services equipment.
• Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance checks and testing of sensors and other electric components.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace pneumatic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections of plant equipment.
• Maintain all maintenance tools in good working order.
• Test equipment before returning to the Machine Operator or Lead.
• Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing or 2 years previous experience in maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and repair manuals.
• Successfully complete a certified OSHA 10 hour or 30 training course.
• Flexibility with work schedule and job duties.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety.

Additional Information

• 2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm M-F.
• On call ability as needed to support the business.
• Rotating weekend work will be required for major preventative maintenance tasks.
