Overview

We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator with welding knowledge to perform various tasks including welding metal parts, repairing broken components, and operating welding equipment. The position requires the ability to work in varying temperatures and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Welds metal parts together
  • Performs related tasks such as sizing and grinding
  • Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in operation of equipment such as MIG welder, drill press, horizontal band saw, portable band saw, abrasive band saw, angle grinder, roller bender, tap and die
  • Experience in mechanics is a plus
  • Must have a clean valid driver license
  • Must be able to work outside in cold and hot temperatures
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be honest and trustworthy
  • Must be punctual and reliable

Additional Information

  • Full-time position -- Monday to Friday with every other Saturday
  • Work time is Monday through Friday along with some Saturdays
  • Great location - near G/7 train
  • Ability to commute/relocate: queens NY 11101: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
