Production MIG Welder Location: Fort Worth, TX area (Candidates must live within 15–20 miles / ~30–40 min commute)

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 / hr (Determined by weld test and bend test results) + $1.00 2nd shift differential

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Current schedule running 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

• 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM (Current schedule running 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM)

• Work Days: Monday – Friday, with Saturday availability required based on production needs.

The Opportunity A premier metal fabrication plant in Fort Worth is hiring experienced MIG Welders for immediate positions. If you take pride in clean, high-quality welds and thrive in a high-volume production environment, we want to see what you can do on the torch.

Key Responsibilities • Perform quality MIG welds on production components according to welding procedure specifications (WPS).

• Read and accurately interpret blueprints, tape measures, and weld symbols.

• Set up welding machines to match job-specific WPS guidelines.

• Inspect welds for defects (undercut, underfill, porosity, craters, or uneven leg size) to ensure structural integrity.

Requirements • Experience: Minimum 1+ year of MIG welding experience required (2+ years preferred).

• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, weld symbols, WPS documents, and precision measuring tools.

• Commute: Must reside within 15–20 miles of the facility (~30–40 minute commute with traffic).

• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work extended 12-hour shifts and Saturdays based on production demands.

Interview & Testing Process All candidates must undergo an in-person evaluation. Please bring your own PPE: steel-toe boots, welding hood, gloves, and safety glasses.

Written Exam (Pass mark: 70%+): Covers tape measure reading, blueprint interpretation, and weld symbols.

Physical Weld Test: 1G MIG weld test (Single V-Groove with backing). Evaluated on machine setup and visual defect inspection.

Bend Test: Physical test samples will undergo lab bend testing (results take approximately 1 week before official offers are finalized).
