Role SummaryWe are hiring an Ultrasonic Welding Inspection Technician to perform ultrasonic testing and visual inspections on heavy steel assemblies. This role supports the quality department by identifying weld defects, verifying structural integrity, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform ultrasonic testing (UT) on welds and heavy steel componentsConduct visual inspections to identify surface and subsurface defectsInterpret UT results and prepare clear, accurate inspection reportsVerify weld quality against project specifications and applicable codesAssist in determining root causes of weld defects and recommend corrective actionsMaintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration requirements are metCollaborate with welders, supervisors, and QA personnel to resolve quality issuesSupport continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the fabrication processRequired Qualifications3–5 years of experience welding or inspecting heavy steel assembliesExperience performing UT or other NDT methods (formal certification preferred but not required)Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawingsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlySolid understanding of weld quality standards and defect types About CTR Group: CTR Group operates in the staffing and recruitment industry, Nationwide for over 35 years.
