Overview

The Mechanic Third Class position involves performing as a highly skilled maintenance professional, participating in teams to develop and implement solutions while ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and report any incidents immediately.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and maintenance programs.
  • Perform cleanup duties at workstations and equipment.
  • Communicate safety concerns and equipment problems effectively.
  • Participate in plant TPM initiatives and use TPM methodology.
  • Maintain and inspect plant equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Install, modify, or maintain plant equipment.
  • Read and analyze blueprints and technical data.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and support colleague development.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Five years of experience in a related maintenance trade preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient in SAP PM Module.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.

Additional Information

  • Must remain drug-free and work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible rotating shifts and mandatory overtime as required.
