Overview

Bucks County Community College is seeking a committed HVAC and Plumbing Mechanic for its Newtown Campus to ensure the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and BAS control systems, contributing to a dynamic campus culture.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair campus HVAC, plumbing, and BAS control systems.
  • Understand and work with boilers, steam and hot water heating systems, chillers, refrigeration equipment, and electrical controls.
  • Fabricate and install piping and tubing for plumbing and HVAC repairs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems electrically and mechanically using meters and diagnostics.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building heating supply and return lines.
  • Clean, repair, and replace strainers, valves, and other fittings as required.
  • Work from ladders and lifts to access equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in service, maintenance, repair, and installation of air handling equipment.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with BAS and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment electrically and mechanically.
  • Experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing building heating supply and return lines.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license.

  • 1st Shift — 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday–Saturday.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks and clearances.
