Overview

Bucks County Community College is seeking an HVAC and Plumbing Mechanic to operate, maintain, and repair campus HVAC, plumbing, and BAS control systems. This role emphasizes a commitment to serving students and fostering a dynamic campus culture.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair campus HVAC, plumbing, and BAS control systems.
  • Understand and work with boilers, steam and hot water heating systems, chillers, refrigeration equipment, electrical controls, building automation, plumbing, and water treatment.
  • Fabricate and install piping and tubing for plumbing and HVAC repairs.
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment electrically and mechanically using meters, gauges, and computer diagnostics.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building heating supply and return lines.
  • Clean, repair, and replace strainers, valves, and other fittings as required.
  • Work from ladders and lifts to access equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of air handling equipment.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with BAS and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license.
