Overview

Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) is seeking a Sprinkler Fitter to join their team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic sprinkler systems. Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and specifications for sprinkler system installation.
  • Measuring and cutting pipes to required lengths and installing them with various fittings and connectors.
  • Installing valves, alarms, and other components of the sprinkler system.
  • Testing the system for leaks and ensuring proper functionality.
  • Performing routine maintenance and replacing worn or damaged components.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing sprinkler systems and recommending solutions.
  • Communicating with customers and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and preparing reports.
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Being highly organized, motivated, and a team player.
  • Following direction and working independently when needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of independent field experience.
  • Experience with Fire Protection Systems and components.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to obtain progressive certifications.
  • Prefer intermediate sprinkler layout understanding.
  • Ability to complete accurate maintenance and work records.
  • Willingness to work hard and learn.
  • Ability to complete required paperwork thoroughly.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Practices safe work practices per OSHA requirements.
  • Must be a self-starter.
